This Christmas, our family is making an effort to support local small businesses.  Lucky for us my our new found gem Greenfire in Rockford, IL has become our favorite place to grab an appetizer, drink or brunch while enjoying the smooth sound of live jazz.  With it's inviting and rustic decor, to the copper cup mules, delicious wood-fire grilled pizza's and handcrafted desserts by chef Heather Christensen you cannot leave without wanting to come back!  Chef and owner Philippe Forcioli, brings you the some of the best cuisine from around the world, Jean-Georges, Cipriani and the famed Orient Express train.

Greenfire is a bustling American contemporary farm restaurant & marketplace. From the most natural and organic ingredients Greenfire serves breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner focusing on simple, seasonal cuisine  House made pastries, hearty breads, rustic pizzas, fresh fish, meats and cheeses. A selection of gourmet grocery items for the adventurous home cook and a wine shop with passionatly selected wines.
